What will be the problem you plan to solve with AI?

The problem of young people starts to drift away from their dialects is increasing day after day. In order to tackle this issue, the utilizing of Artificial Intelligence (AI) may help to bridge the gap between culture prevention and modern technology. Therefore, the strategy that I have made is creating a customized AI Language Learning Application to keep Malaysians dialects alive among the youth community in the future. 

Due to the reason that the pace of live in modern live very fast, many parents are busy for their work and not able to have extra time to teach them dialects. Moreover, the school in Malaysia also prohibited the use of dialects within the school area which mean the opportunity for youth today to learn the dialects is minute. Therefore, this system may become a tool for the youth to learn the language by themselves. This can make sure all of the dialects will not gradually disappear in the river of time and continue pass down to the next generation. 

To build this application, I will need to have Natural Language Processing (NLP) and the data from the expertise for the specific dialects. Furthermore, I also need to apply speech-to-text system and also the voice recognition that allow the computer to listen. Through the learning process, the AI able to analyze speech patterns, accents, and vocabulary to map dialect variations geographically and socially. This might help the AI to provide more specific and precise answers. For example, the user may get the different answer based on different situation and scenario to understand how the native speaker will talk during the specific moment. In conclusion, it is a great tool that prevent our language culture and teach youth to learn about the dialects.
